Our company passed the SMETA factory inspection
At the request of our customer in Europe, SGS SMETA (Suzhou) as an auditor audited the human rights situation of our factory. This audit is in the form of a semi-announced audit, i.e. between November 4th and 22nd, any day will be scheduled to come to our factory for a surprise audit.
On November 7, the auditors, Ms. Yolanda Li and Ms. Leaf Ye came to our factory to conduct a comprehensive audit of our labor standards, health and safety, environmental protection, and business ethics. The inspection results were satisfactory in terms of hardware facilities, management measures, and supervision and execution. The auditor also randomly sampled ten employees on-site to interview them about their welfare and their satisfaction with their jobs.
The inspection found two minor flaws for improvement: insufficient social security coverage; and long overtime hours. The company also explained the problem of insufficient insurance coverage: the company has long been required to pay for social security for every employee, but some employees are unwilling to participate in the insurance for personal reasons, which is not due to the company. As for the problem of overtime work, the company will also arrange for special personnel to implement improvement methods.
The audit report number ZAA600097864, as well as the site pictures and documents, have been uploaded to the SEDEX website, where customers can access our audit report.
